The story is always harder to tell
when it feels like you’re walking 
by yourself, in the midst of the fog.
Cold mist, rests on your shoulder as 
you walk the lonely pavement before
the sun comes up, and the heat from 
your breath creates more mist —
the fire of your story leaves your body 
& becomes a part of the worl…
